AUCKLAND: National television network, TVNZ, is the first live advertiser on APN Outdoor’s newest large format Outdoor packs, the Portrait 10s and the Super 8s. Gone live January 27th, the TVNZ ‘2014 Season’ campaign will reach across the country turning heads across the country.
Media agency Starcom immediately saw the potential of these new formats for their client TVNZ. Jade Rook, TV One Brand Manager for TVNZ’s MasterChef, said; “We are really excited to be the first to take advantage of these progressive new billboard formats developed by APN Outdoor. The latest LED lighting technology used really showcases the vibrant nature of the MasterChef New Zealand 2014 creative and the quality of these new signs fits well with our brand values.”
Both packs run to a new two week sales cycle which has been created for three chief purposes. They provide advertisers with greater planning flexibility both timing wise and economically and due to the quick time turnaround, it is a perfect fit for retail, film and FMCG categories.
Aside from sharing a booking cycle, these new hand-selected packs do differ in format, weight and geography.
The Portrait 10 pack is strategically located close to busy retail precincts, on busy main roads and all with high profile positioning in Auckland. Over the two week sales cycle, it delivers an audience contact frequency of 4.3 million.
The fifteen Super 8 Billboards were selected because of their location on high-volume roadways in and around four of New Zealand’s busiest cities; Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, maximising the impact of advertisers’ campaigns to these valuable metropolitan New Zealand audiences.
Both packs have been recently installed throughout New Zealand and use the latest LED lighting technology which gives the creative premium quality illumination, brightness and light distribution and consume less electricity to the traditional incandescent lit sites.
Phil Clemas, APN Outdoor General Manager – New Zealand said; “We are thrilled to see an iconic media institution like TVNZ up in lights on both of our two new packs, the Portrait 10s and the Super 8s. In 2013, we spent a lot of time examining the Outdoor and media market in New Zealand and listening to what our clients want. The creation of these two new packs is the result of this research and we know that they will deliver TVNZ ‘2014 Season’ campaign competitive results.”
These new packs represent the significant investment APN Outdoor is making in its Billboard inventory in New Zealand and marks the first of many upgrades being rolled out this year.
