AUCKLAND: In a sure sign that Friends in High Places knows how to throw a good party, APN Outdoor today confirms that it will once again be hosting the official after party for the 2015 CAANZ Beacon Awards. Taking place on Thursday April 23 following the official awards ceremony, the after party will be exclusive to guests from the Beacons and will be held at Studio Venue in Auckland.
The CAANZ Beacon Awards (previously called the Media Awards) allow media agencies to showcase the thinking behind the delivery of their advertising campaigns. The focus is on strategy and implementation rather than the creative. More than 800 guests are expected to attend both the awards ceremony and subsequent after party.
Having been invited back by CAANZ to host the Beacons after party following successful events in 2011, 2012 and 2014, Friends in High Places will be entertaining guests with live performances from DylanC and Gene Rivers. Additionally, guests can experience the latest LED, neon and digital advertising via a showcase of cutting-edge solutions.APN Outdoor, General Manager – NZ, Phil Clemas commented on the event, “We were really excited to get the call from CAANZ to take on this year’s Beacons after party. We are committed to supporting the local media and advertising industry and our sponsorship of the after party is an extension of this philosophy. Friends in High Places has a track record in entertaining the media industry via a packed calendar of events and we have no doubt that this year’s Beacons after party will be the biggest and best yet.”
To ensure guests arrive at the after party in style, a fleet of Mini Coopers will be on hand to transport attendees from the Viaduct Events Centre – where the Beacons are being held – to Studio Venue. The Mini shuttle service will run for one hour from 10pm on a first-in, first-served basis. To receive a complimentary ride guests must have their Friends in High Places After Party VIP pass, which they will be given at the awards ceremony.
Photos and videos from the after party will be posted to the official Friends in High Places Facebook page following the event; https://www.facebook.com/FriendsInHighPlaces.
