AUCKLAND: Leading Outdoor company, APN Outdoor, will again be heating up New Zealand media’s social calendar with the release today of the Friends in High Places (FIHP) 2015 schedule of events. After a successful series in 2014 – which included hosting the annual Beacons Awards after party along with a successful Summer Party and several other local initiatives – FIHP will be back in 2015 providing the New Zealand media industry with more opportunities to network and celebrate the creative community.
The 2015 FIHP calendar will launch on February 19 in Auckland with the well-known Mad Men events. FIHP’s Mad Men functions are a chance for like-minded people from the local advertising industry to get together in a relaxed forum to discuss latest trends and forge stronger relationships. During 2015, FIHP will host four Mad Men events in Auckland, three in Wellington and two in Christchurch. As usual, all events will be invitation-only.
Since its launch in February 2011, the FIHP Summer Party has been running successfully and growing in size year by year. For the past three years it has been held at Mantells On The Water in Westhaven, Auckland. The 2014 event attracted over 800 guests from New Zealand’s media and advertising community and including live performances from P Money, Electric Wire Hustle, Funkommunity and DJ DylanC. To keep things fresh and cater for growing demand, FIHP’s 2015 Summer Party will see it move to an exciting new location and date. APN Outdoor is currently in discussions with an in-demand musical act for the event and will confirm more details in the New Year.
Phil Clemas, General Manager, APN Outdoor New Zealand commented, “Off the back of a very successful year of events in 2014 we are really excited about our plans for Friends in High Places in 2015. Along with providing more of the best local music acts, great venues and guaranteed fun we are looking forward to bringing the local advertising community together to bounce ideas and build stronger relationships.”
FIHP have been honoured to have had such an incredible array of musical talent make its line-up in 2014 including Dane Rumble, Artisan Guns, Autozamm, Lisa Crawley, DJ General Lee, Ivy Lies, Tahuna Breaks, Clap Clap Riot, State of Mind feat P-Diggs, DylanC, Manuel Bundy, Tiki Taane, Sola Rosa, PNC & P Money, Sambora, Latinaotearoa, David Dallas, Aaradhna and Gene Rivers.
