AUCKLAND: Outdoor leaders APN Outdoor, today announce that Wellington’s first Elite Screen is live - having launched at 12.01am this morning. The launch of this site marks an impressive addition to the burgeoning digital portfolio, now standing at eight screens strong across New Zealand.
Located on busy Aotea Quay, this site marks a significant development in the digital outdoor landscape of New Zealand, and the start of further growth for APN Outdoors’ national footprint with screens in Christchurch and Hamilton to join the network in April.
This site’s location is adjacent to the motorway off-ramp and offers significant lead-in for city-bound traffic numbering in excess of 53,000 per day. Standing at 12.1 x 3.2m in size, the Digital Billboard is truly impressive and gives advertisers access to the sharpest quality and most advanced LED technology available in market.
Up until now, Wellington’s large format advertising was exclusively available through traditional billboards and the launch of the new screen will give advertisers the chance to take advantage of the unique qualities Digital Outdoor can provide; flexibility, creative immediacy and interactivity. APN Outdoor will soon complete New Zealand’s only National Digital Billboard Network with the upcoming addition of screens in Christchurch and Hamilton to go along with this recently launched Wellington site and the existing network in Auckland.
Phil Clemas, General Manager, APN Outdoor New Zealand commented “The launch of this screen at Aotea Quay marks the beginning of Digital Outdoor in Wellington and grows our footprint beyond Auckland. This investment marks an exciting time for the industry in New Zealand, and I’m proud to see APN Outdoor continue to lead the charge as we near the launch of the country’s first large format National Digital Network due in late April.”
APN Outdoor have taken a leadership stance in the field of Digital Outdoor, consistently seeking out the most advanced technology, developing only in the most premium locations and expanding the scale of the Elite Screen portfolio on both sides of the Tasman. Clemas comments “Not all Digital Outdoor is created equal and it is important that advertisers and their agencies distinguish between premium and non-premium quality. Not only will this affect value but brand association too.”
APN Outdoor believe educating and inspiring creative thinking is as important as developing premium Digital advertising assets. This was seen last August with the introduction of their digital creative platform called Pixel3610, designed to inspire digital outdoor creativity and APN Outdoor have confirmed that due to demand, it will become an annual event.
In addition to the pending launch of their Elite Screens in Hamilton and Christchurch, APN Outdoor will soon announce the launch of two more magnificent screens on the Victoria Park Flyover and a super stand-alone screen in another special part of Auckland.
