JCDecaux Summer Competition 19/20 – Terms and Conditions

  1. 1. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
    By participating in the JCDecaux Summer Competition (Competition) you agree to accept these Terms and Conditions.

  2. 2. Promoter
    The Competition is being run by JCDecaux New Zealand Trading Ltd (Promoter).

  3. 3. The prize
    3.1 One winner will win a $2,000 travel voucher issued by a New Zealand travel agent of our choice. All travel costs incurred in excess of this sum are payable by the winner. The voucher will be valid for 12 months from the date of its purchase by the Promoter, which will occur when the winner has been contacted by the Promoter.

  4. 4. Entry Period
    The Competition runs from [ 24th October 2019 ] to 5pm [ 31st December 2019 ] (Entry Period). Only valid entries received during the Entry Period will be accepted.

  5. 5. Conditions of Entry
    5.1 To enter the Competition you must, during the Entry Period:
    (a) Have viewed JCDecaux’s Summer 19/20 presentation.
    (b) Correctly answer the quiz questions at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JCDecauxNZSummer
    (c) Tell us in 25 words or less: “What has been your most memorable summer and why?”
    (d) Supply your name, a valid postal address, email address and contact number.
    (e) Be a New Zealand resident.
    (f) Be at least 18 years old.

    Note you may enter the Competition only once during the Entry Period.
    5.2 The Competition is not open to the Promoter’s employees, agents, contractors, consultants or their families (including de facto spouses) or to other persons assisting with the Competition.

  6. 6. Winner Selection
    6.1 The Promoter will select the prize winner and notify them either in person or by phone (voice or text) and/or email within 10 days following the expiry of the Entry Period.

  7. 7. General Terms and Conditions
    7.1 At the date of publication of these Terms and Conditions the retail value of the prize is approximately $2,000.00.
    7.2 The Promoter retains sole discretion to declare that an entry is void and redraw the prize on the same terms as the original draw in the following circumstances:
    (a) the winner does not respond to contact attempts within 48 hours of the first such attempt made by the Promoter; or
    (b) the winner is not eligible to enter the Competition or is disqualified.
    7.3 The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the Competition is final and binding, and no discussion or correspondence will be entered into.
    7.4 Accepting a prize constitutes a winner’s consent to be photographed and/or interviewed by the Promoter and for the Promoter to use his or her name, city/town of residence, competition entry and/or photographs and interviews for Competition or publicity purposes without compensation. This includes on the Promoter’s website, direct and social media channels. The Promoter agrees to observe the winner’s privacy rights under the Privacy Act 1993.     7.5 The Promoter reserves the right to extend, postpone, or cancel the Competition and to amend these Terms and Conditions without prior notice at any time. Any such amendment shall be notified on our website (https://www.jcdecaux.co.nz/) as soon as possible.
    7.6 Only the person who entered the Competition can be awarded the prize. The prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. In the (unlikely) event the prize item is unavailable for any reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it for a different prize item of equal or greater value.
    7.7 The Promoter does not accept responsibility for any tax or financial implications that may arise from acceptance of the prize. Independent tax and/or financial advice should be sought.
    7.8 Any product images or photos used in Competition material for this Competition are indicative only.
    7.9 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry or refuse to award a prize where the Promoter reasonably believes that false or misleading details have been provided by an entrant or an entrant has behaved in a fraudulent or dishonest manner, or otherwise than in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or the spirit of the Competition.
    7.10 The Promoter will not be responsible for any late, lost or misdirected entries, including entries not received due to technical problems.
    7.11 The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which may be sustained, directly or indirectly, by any entrant or prize winner (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with any product purchased in connection with any prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.
    7.12 These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
